Use the car jack out of the trunk of any near by cars to help life the engine. If you make sure the bike is stable two people should be able to lift the engine. I've done it twice on an in-line 4 Honda 750 engines. It's a pain but it's a hell of alot cheaper than renting a hoist. You may also want to think of maybe using chains (or something like that) and the rafters in the garage that can help. Good luck
